Wearing socks to sleep

25 July 2009

Since you are a baby I always help you to wear socks to sleep, but ever since you know how to remove the socks yourself, I was never successful in getting you to wear your socks to sleep. I think that was when you are not even one year old.

Recently, I started to get you to wear socks again after one morning you woke up to see a huge mosquito bite near your knee cap. It was swollen so badly that I have to bring you to see doctor. The doctor also had a shock to see such a big and swollen mositque bite.  So you were given anitbiotics and medicine for anti-itch and a cream to apply.

That night I told you because you didn’t wear your socks that why the mosquito bite you. You happily let me help you to wear your socks. Subsequently, you even initiate and wear it yourself. But sometimes, you took it out in the middle of the night. That didn’t last very long and you refused to wear socks before you sleep again, not unless I threaten you that no Wii game or to take away your favourite toys, like Transformers, Bakugan, super-yoyo or cannot play Daddy’s iphone. Sometimes such threat has no effect at all. So at night I will try to help you wear after you have fallen asleep but very often you will take it out and you can even place it nicely on the side of your bed!

So why do I insist that you have to wear socks to sleep? You may get the answers from here:
