Hmm… Food… NO!!!

When we reached home after Mummy’s check up, we figured you might be hungry so we asked if you want something to eat, to which you said, “Yes”. So Mummy went to the kitchen and you followed… You can’t wait to get your bowl, got all so excited!

Here’s the conversation between you and Mummy in the kitchen.

Mummy asked: What do you want to eat?
Ethan, thinking…
Mummy asked again : Avocado?
Ethan, changed in mood : NO!!
Mummy explained : Avocado is good for you!
Ethan, shaking head vigourously : No, No, No!!!

So mummy let you have the bowl, the moment you saw what’s in the bowl… you cried while walking back to the bedroom…

Anyway, we managed to get you to finish your avocado when mummy said she bought a new toy for you. So while you are busy playing the new toy with Daddy, mummy got you to finish the avocado in the bowl.

Seeing that you taking it very well, Mummy thought might as well let you finish the whole avocado instead of half… Wow, that made Mummy very happy because for the first time you finished one whole avocado at one go ... YEAH!!!!

Ah, you love this book, “Uh Oh” by Sheilagh Noble! Everytime when we finished, you’ll ask me to read it again and again! You never seemed to get tired of it. Not sure if it was the story or the brightly coloured illustration… you just kept asking for more.

The simple story is about a little girl’s first day at nursery. From the time Daddy dropped her off, activities in class to when Daddy is back to pick her up. You like the part where they play with dough, getting all messy and squishy, that never cease to make you smile when we reached that page. We thought this might be a good introduction to nursery, that is when we feel you’re ready…

Now we need to hunt for another book, one that will help prepare you for your baby brother/sister…

Grandma told us something funny today. Apparently you did a nice forward roll, so she rewarded you by clapping her hands and complimenting, “Well Done!”. It’s then you realised great grandma wasn’t clapping, so you asked her to join in the applause and praise you as well….

Hahaha!!!! So cute of you… or over demanding?

Puzzling Time!

Given to you on your 1 year old birthday… on and off you will play with the puzzle but not actually putting them together, just taking them out of the cardboard can and putting them back.

Last few days, you’ve been very interested in putting them together. It started when you brought the can of puzzle and requested me to open the lid. As usual you poured the contents out but started trying to put some pieces together. Playing along, I decided I’ll help you along by pointing out the correct piece and cheering you on. Everytime you finished one puzzle, it was lots of “Well done!” and “Hooray!”

At times, I can see your frustration when a piece didn’t go into place because it was slightly misaligned. So in order to make sure you enjoy yourself, I’ll make a slight adjustment to help that piece click in. Then more cheers! When we finished all the various pieces, you’ll say, “More! More!” and we’ll start all over again!

Isn’t it great see you get so keen on putting the puzzle together? :D

Mummy is so sad…

Grandma dropped me a call earlier, says you wanted to call us on the phone, so she asked whether you wanted to speak to Mummy? You replied, “No, Daddy!” So she called me and explained why she called. Upon taking your call, the one word you utter was, “Daddy” and there was just silence as I continued trying to get you to say more things… no luck there.

After hanging up, grandma called Mummy. Here’s what Mummy said :

> Mummy : “Call Mummy…”
> Ethan : “Daddy!”

> Mummy : “Call Mummy…”
> Ethan : “Daddy!”

Mummy is so sad, she MSNed me just to tell me..
